every time i press v it crashes my game

I can't upload my cape because it crashes how can i fix it?

Try this.

#1: turn off your AntiVirus and Windows Defender

#2: use Task manager and Dont close it

#3: Open Minecraft Launcher then Log out, once you have done it Log in again

#4: Open Minecraft

#5: *Graphics setting* Render distance 5 or 8
